Player Development Focus
From 2026/27, U13 stays in the 9v9 format rather than progressing straight to 11v11. The extra year in 9v9 lets players consolidate positional play, decision-making and small-group tactics on a manageable pitch before stepping up to the full game at U14. The focus is on taking responsibility, developing knowledge of the game, and refining technique in a slightly extended 9v9 environment.
